A Bit About Gavin
Negative self-talk that tells us stories like, “I’m not good enough”, “they don’t like me” …wouldn’t it be great if we could transform that inner critic into our biggest supporter?
To achieve this and other positive outcomes, Gavin takes an experiential, attachment-based approach. He is trained in SomEx (somatic experiential therapy) and Brainspotting, as well as Trauma Informed Care and recovery coaching.
A graduate student in Seattle University’s Couple and Family Therapy program, Gavin brings extensive life experience to his work as a therapist intern. He began his professional life as a sportswriter before crossing over into sports management and worked as a corporate executive. During the pandemic he lived in Thailand, where he volunteered as a caregiver to children.
Gavin grew up in Oxfordshire, England, has visited over 50 countries, and lived on three continents. He enjoys sports, baking, meditation, travel, and hiking. He holds a BA and an honorary MA from the University of Cambridge in England.
