A Bit About Josh
Driven by a lifelong interest in psychology and passion for helping others, Josh is dedicated to supporting individuals, couples, and families in achieving healthier lives and relationships.
He builds strong connections with his clients through a warm and genuine approach that fosters trust. Known for his curiosity and attentive listening, he ensures clients feel heard and understood, while creating a collaborative and engaging therapy process. Josh integrates elements from various therapeutic models, including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Structural Family Therapy, and Bowen Family Systems Theory. As a systemically trained therapist, he helps clients consider how social, cultural, and other systems (e.g. family, work, school) may influence issues.
Currently a clinical therapist intern completing his master’s degree in Couple and Family Therapy at Seattle University, Josh brings diverse life experience to his practice. Before transitioning to psychotherapy, he began his professional life in the music industry and then spent eight years managing client relationships in the corporate sector. Having grown up in Seattle with his biological family and then the Olympic Peninsula with his adopted family, Josh considers both places “home”.
When not supporting his clients, Josh enjoys adventuring outdoors with his family, turning his daughter into a Sounders fan, and attempting DIY home projects.
